Bhagwati Prasad looks after the vast estate of his deceased brother, assisted by his wife, and brother-in-law, Markutey. Bhagwati has got into debt and has been embezzling money in order to pay his debtors. His spoiled and rude niece, Renu, who resides in the United States decides to pay them a visit.

Bhagwati welcomes her and makes her feel at home, but Renu is not easily satisfied until she gets a speed boat so that she can be on her own. Alerted by her lawyer, she starts to scrutinize recent transactions and finds 15 lakh rupees missing. She asks Bhagwati to provide her with an explanation within 2 days. Then she gets into her speed boat, only to get involved in an accident, planned by Bhagwati,and disappears.

Bhagwati is all set to take over the estate, when the estate's lawyer gets a Court Order freezing all the cash, bank, and assets until such time Renu is found or her body is located. The months go by, Bhagwati hires men to look for Renu, and they soon find her and lead him to her. Bhagwati finds out that she has lost her memory, and is living with a man named Raja and three children. This time Bhagwati will make sure that she will not escape alive, even if it means to kill Raja and the three children as well.

Sapna runs away from her aristocratic home, fed-up of the hatred and family politics. She meets with Raj, who she is attracted to. Raj, at first wants to get rid of her, then eventually falls in love with her. Then the two of them have to be on the run as her family find out where she is after they put up a reward for her whereabouts.

Sapna (Karishma Kapoor) who has been brought up by her three uncles who love her dearly. One uncle is a body builder, one is a priest and worships god a lot and the third is a fun loving man who is a fashion designer. Her three uncles never let her have fun and enjoy her life, so she decides to run away. Her third uncle catches her while she is running away, and gives her money so that she can go on a tour. The other two uncles don't know about this plot. Meanwhile Raja (Salman Khan) is shown the photo of Sapna, he instantly falls in love with her and promises his father that she will be the daughter-in-law of their house. While on the tour, Sapna meets Raja, a lovable guy who is basically all three of her uncles combined into one..Sapna and Raja fall in love with each other. Then together with Sapna's third uncle, the three of them pursue the other two uncles to allow them to get married. Finally at the very end, the two of them get married.
