During a competition with a neighboring tribe in Afghanistan, BadshahKhan (Amitabh Bachchan) falls in love with Benazir (Sridevi), and willdo anything to marry her. He does so, and they get married. Benazir'sdad is killed by Habibulla, and Badshah goes to seek him in India froma jail. He does so but has the jailer, Ranveer Sethi (Vikram Gokhale)on his trail. After avenging his father-in-law' death, Badshahsurrenders himself to Ranveer and is jailed for five years. In order toavenge Habibulla's death, his brother Pasha (Kiran Kumar) kidnaps thedaughter of jailer Ranveer in return for Badshah. Badshah finds outabout this, and escapes from jail, confronts Pasha, only to haveInspector Aziz Mirza (Bharat Kapoor) kill Ranveer, and with Ranveer'sdaughter as a pawn in Pasha's hands, Badshah admits to killing Ranveerand is sentenced to 50 years in jail. On coming out of prison, Badshahmeets with his now grown daughter, Mehndi (also Sridevi); the daughterof Ranveer, Henna Sethi (Shilpa Shirodkar); and the son of InspectorAziz Mirza, Raja (Nagarjuna), who has found out that it was Badshah whohad killed his dad, and is out for vengeance. On the other hand, oldrivalries are renewed, when Badshah comes to know that Benazir and hischildhood friend Khuda Baksh (Danny Denzongpa) have been abducted byPasha, and Pasha wants blood and vengence, and he will not let anyonecome in his way this time..
