Naive yet bold and daring, Preeti Virat, comes forward as a witness toheinous assault carried by Bhavani Choudhry and his men on a person whoowes them money. Bhavani is arrested and held for trial. This angersthe Choudhry family. The victim is threatened with dire consequences,and he withdraws the complaint, and as a result Bhavani is released andall charges are dropped. Preeti is then raped by one of the Choudhrymen, and subsequently her very own family disowns her. She findsshelter with another do-gooder, Avinash, who even takes her to hisapartment. But the story does not end here, for the neighborhood issoon in an uproar over her, and want her to leave. The only solution isthat Preeti marry Avinash, she agrees to do so, and then finds out thatthere is two children who called Avinash "daddy", and she does not knowif there is another woman or even a wife involved. And then the policearrest Preeti under the charge of prostitution, on a complaint filed bynone other than Avinash's dad.

 

Rohit Kumar (Aamir Khan) is an aspirant playback singer while Kiran(Manisha Koirala) is a classical singer-in-training, but at inside aimsto be some thing like Rohit. They meet, relate to each other'ssentiments and fall in love. But when Kiran's parents oppose theirmarriage, they decide to lead a seperate life. However, after theirmarriage, Kiran's ambitions take a back seat as she feels suppressed byher household responsibilities and her child's look after. Time failsto abate Kiran's frustration until she decides to leave Rohit and starta new life all over again. Now-a-loner, Rohit is forced to look afterboth his son and his falling career on his own, and that too at thesame time. After some obvious teething troubles, Rohit succeeds increating a seperate world of their own with Sonu, his son. Meanwhile,Kiran incidentally becomes a huge film star. She then tries toreconcilliate but as luck would have it, Rohit, an ego-centric man,misinterprets her support as her pity and things become worse. Havinghad enough, Kiran decides to call the marriage off and also files acase demanding Sonu's custody. Rohit, unlike Kiran, faces a real toughtime preparing for the case. But as case continues, Kiran realisesRohit's importance for Sonu and vice-versa. However, the court asexpected gives orders in Kiran's favour. But in the end, Kiran decidesto compensate for all her mistakes and Rohit and she decide to startafresh all over again.

 

 

The story revolves around Rahul Singh (John Abraham), a compulsivegambler who wins Rs. 20 million from a bet and throws a party tocelebrate. Everyone has a good time drinking and partying till latenight during which Rahul proposes to Nafisa (Sonal Sehgal). Heannounces their engagement to all present, then collapses on the floor.

In hospital, he learns that he has only 90 days to live. Wanting tomake the most of his last days, he leaves everything behind and movesinto a soothing hospice. The inmates he meets change his outlook onlife. As his relationships grow with each one of them, Rahul tries torise above his own needs and live life to the fullest, learning fromthe courage of those around him.

The people he meets in the hospice add colour, both dark and bright, tohis journey, which is one about love, hate, life, death and above all,hope.
