Deewana

Deewana movie is the love triangle between Ravi, Kajal and Raja. Ravi is a popular pop-singer in the region, and has many fans, of both sexes. One of his fans is a beautiful young woman named Kajal, who is in love with Ravi and his songs. When Ravi meets Kajal, he too falls in love with her, and soon both get married.

After the marriage, Ravi's uncle hires some men to beat him up and kill him. They return, informing him that they have succeeded in their objective. Kajal is devastated with the new of Ravi's death, and assumes the habit of a Hindu widow. Then one day she meets with wealthy Raja Sahay, who has fallen head-heels in love with her, and proposes marriage. Shocked by this, Kajal initially refuses, but eventually agrees to marry him. Romance and living return to Kajal's life, but not for long, when Ravi returns to her life, and is shocked to see her re-married.

Nine year old Shruti is the only child of Mumbai-based Shrikant andShweta, and is enrolled in a school in Bandra (West). One day, whilerehearsing for a play, she is stranded in the rehearsal room. When thewatchman returns, he lets her out, and drops her off at Bandra RailwayStation. She attempts to telephone her mom, but gets the line busy, soshe boards a Borivali bound local train in the ladies compartment.Because of the late hour, the compartment is nearly deserted, save foran elderly male, a woman, and a young girl. Three youth enter thiscompartment, lock the doors and windows, and gang-rape her. The otherpeople are too terrified to do anything. The three youth, their taskcompleted, leave the train at Malad Railway Station. When the trainreaches Borivali, the male in the compartment makes an anonymous callto the police, who then arrive on the scene. When the news is revealedin the media, there is an uproar in Mumbai and the suburbs. Normallysuch matters are handled by the Railway Police, but taking account thepublicity generated by this crime, the Mumbai Crime Branch andInspector Krupa Shankar Thakur decide to get involved. The questionsremain, will they be able to apprehend the three youth and stop themfrom committing another outrage, and will Shruti ever recover from thistrauma and identify her assailants?
